The mid 90's afforded the opportunity to use the experience built up since 1973 to launch Scientex.

• Scientex forms part of our International Supplier Marketing Team. Modern communications and transit times has brought Australia a lot closer to the pool of expertise built up by the manufacturers in their technologies.
• Scientex has a close association with its suppliers to ensure that Australian Scientists may benefit in their particular areas of research with practical high quality options.
• Scientists regularly seek advice from Scientex and Specialists working for our suppliers to evaluate the suitability of a Technology to their research. Scientex has established long standing associations with scientists throughout Australia.

Some of the instruments sold and installed in 1995 and some earlier, are still productive use and shall continue to do so due to the dedication of the National Technical Service Team working with Scientex.

Scientex has major installations in many Centres of Research. Amongst these were Australian firsts in technologies that had not been previously been used in Australia.

• University of Qld in association with ANU purchased the first chiral separations Method Development and Prep Scale systems for purification to kilo scale. Key to this has been the proprietary expertise that Dr Gary Yanik, President of PDR-Chiral shares with scientists at UQ.
• Murdoch University purchased the first Setaram Calvet Type High Volume and High Pressure Calorimeter.
• In 2005 we installed the first Very High Pressure Rubotherm Thermal Analyser at the Uni of Qld. Others at University of Newcastle and Monash University.
• CSIRO purchased the first of the Anter Laser Flash Thermal Diffusivity Instruments.
• University of WA has a Setaram Ultra Low Temperature high Volume high Pressure calorimeter for LNG characterisation.
• Other significant installations including TG/DSC/MS, Micro DSC, Field Flow Fractionation, Particle Size and Triple Detection were won on merit of the Brands/Technologies which Scientex represents.
